ChiroMom

Gentle Chiropractic Care for Pregnancy & Beyond

We’re excited to offer ChiroMama, a dedicated chiropractic program designed to support women through every stage of pregnancy—and into life as a new mother. Led by our experienced chiropractors, Carissa Schirmer and Lisa Paulin, ChiroMama provides safe, gentle care to help expectant mothers feel their best as their bodies change and prepare for birth.

During pregnancy, the body undergoes dramatic shifts—postural changes, weight redistribution, and increased ligament laxity—which often lead to discomfort such as back pain, pelvic pressure, and sciatic nerve irritation. Chiropractic adjustments help realign the spine and pelvis, reduce muscle tension, and promote mobility, offering natural relief without medication.

ChiroMama also supports optimal baby positioning through the Webster technique, a specialized approach that balances the pelvis and surrounding ligaments. This not only creates space for the baby to move into the ideal head-down position but also sets the stage for a smoother labor and delivery.

Many women under chiropractic care report shorter labor times, fewer interventions, and improved physical comfort throughout pregnancy. Regular adjustments also support nervous system function, which contributes to better sleep, digestion, hormone regulation, and emotional balance.

Each ChiroMama session is tailored to your trimester and comfort level, using pregnancy-safe techniques and supportive pregnancy pillows to ensure relaxation and safety.

Our care doesn’t stop at birth. Many new mothers return postnatally as their bodies recover and adjust to the demands of motherhood. We help with posture-related tension from breastfeeding, baby-wearing, and long hours of holding or nursing, as well as support pelvic alignment and mobility after delivery. Chiropractic care during this time can ease physical strain and help restore balance—making the transition into your new role feel smoother and more supported.

Whether you’re newly expecting, nearing delivery, or navigating life with your newborn, ChiroMama is here to guide and care for you.

All our chiropractors treat children from the age of 5. Younger children and babies require additional chiropractic training which Carissa Schirmer now offers in our practice.
